Rose City Framemakers is a custom picture framing shop specializing in creating unique “environments”
highlighting each piece of artwork that comes through our door. Boasting more than 8,000 frame options, we
strive to compliment each piece of artwork with an appropriate frame, whether the work is an original oil painting,
an antique etching, or a family portrait. Our goal is to develop an open dialogue with our clients to ensure they
love the results. The greatest compliment we receive is when someone sees our finished product and exclaims
“What a great piece of art!”
With a framer's knowledge of what is appropriate for each piece, we will happily guide you through our vast
selection of frame samples and our unlimited number of finished corner frames as well as matting and glazing
options. The joy of finished corner frames is that you can create one-of-a-kind frames – everything from welded
steel, barn-wood, 22kt gold, hand-carved wood, or leather, just to name a few.
We also offer home consultations, painting restoration, frame restoration, and in-home artwork installation.
Rose City Framemakers is very proud to have been nominated for and voted Second Place in the Art and Framing Gallery
category in the 2009 Reader's Choice Awards in the Daily Record, a greatly appreciated acknowledgment from the people
of Morris County.
Nicole Francoeur
Nicole has a BFA in printmaking and silversmithing from the University of Delaware and has been framing pictures since
graduating in 1992. She has worked in chain franchise shops as well as independently owned frame shops. She was blessed
with the people she first met in this industry who took time to show her how to do things correctly the first time and to
always think of what is being framed first and foremost. Nicole keeps current with the picture framing industry and stays
abreast of what is happening in the art world as well. She is a past president of both the New Jersey Professional Picture
Framers Association (PPFA) and the Madison Chamber of Commerce.
Andrea Carrasco
Andrea attained a BFA in Spatial Arts and a BA in German from Humboldt State University in Northern California in 2000.
A newcomer to New Jersey, this California native brings with her a strong background in the arts with a specialty in museum
art installation. A ceramic artist, Andrea has worked with several arts organizations as an art handler and installer, and comes
to us from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art where she worked intimately with objects and the artwork installation
crew as an exhibitions registrar.
Coal
The ever faithful chair warmer, Coal, our 6 year old miniature poodle, has been at the shop since 2003. He has a large
following of friends, both young and old, who stop in on a regular basis to say hello and give a pat on the head.
